When you start actually logging your miles in a notebook, you will see your progress: how many miles you are running each week and how long it takes you to run those miles. Maybe add a note or two about your run, what you liked, what you didn’t and how you felt. These notes are helpful later and are sometimes fun to read months from now!
Another alternative to physically writing down your time and distance is to get a running app. There are so many good options out there that will not only track your mileage and time, they will also remember your routes and give you motivational messages while connecting you with other runners.
Fitness trackers are a great way to keep you engaged with your fitness goals throughout the day.
