Working Out While Traveling

Working Out While Traveling

May 17, 2019 / by Tiffany Allis

If you are traveling for business or pleasure, staying true to your workout routine can be difficult.  Squeezing in a workout in a hotel room may be your only option if you are short on time or don’t have access to a gym.  Here are some of our favorite exercises that you can do just about anywhere.

Burpees:

Seriously, is there a better full body workout than doing a burpee?  Do a few sets of these if you want to burn some extra calories in your hotel room.

Body Weight Squats:

If you don’t have access to a small hotel gym for a kettle bell, just use your body weight to rep out some squats.  Try jumping squats if you want to kick it up a notch!

Chair Dips:

Hit those triceps by doing chair dips.  Most hotels provide a chair of some sort in the room, now you can use it to get a good arm workout in!

Push-ups:

Try giving yourself a time limit and do as many push-ups as possible within the allotted time.  You can scale this workout by letting your knees touch the ground.

Sit-ups:

There are so many variations of sit-ups that you can do.  Pick 2 of your favorites and do a few sets.

Hopefully this will get you started on a quick workout while you’re away from home!

*Make sure to consult a medical professional prior to engaging in any physical exercise
