Fast Facts

Mission: The UMD Triathlon Team is a diverse student group at the University of Maryland that welcomes all abilities, majors and ages! The team practices, participates in volunteering events and simply enjoys time together.
UMD Triathlon attends regionals in the fall and nationals in the spring.
The team has even had a member compete at Ironman Kona in Hawaii.
The students of UMD Triathlon says “this team is a home away from home for many of us, and a place where we met some of our closest friends!”
Lock Laces® awards laces to the top finishers of the Terrapin Triathlon & 5K, the club’s only race on their home campus.
