- Competitions take place in powerful wind tunnels. Therefore, the skydivers are experiencing the same force as jumping out of a plane.
- Skydiving competitions are called Boogies.
- One of IFly’s members, Ernie Torres, has a world record. He dived out of plane and broke 12 pine boards (karate style) before touching the ground.
- Why Lock Laces®: Lock Laces® are worn by skydivers because they do not come untied in extreme winds. When laces come untied in the air, they whip the diver leaving an annoying sting.
